Torwal's core focus is Odoo, but we also provide broader IT support and software development services. We are looking for a mid-level developer with a solid general Python development background — not only Odoo — who understands how ERP systems support real business processes. You will develop, customize, and maintain Odoo solutions for our clients in the retail and manufacturing sectors, and may occasionally contribute to other development and IT projects, working closely with our Business Analyst to turn requirements into working solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize Odoo modules (backend and frontend) based on client requirements.
  • Implement customizations across core business flows: Sales, CRM, Inventory, Manufacturing (MRP), Accounting, Purchasing, and Website/eCommerce.
  • Collaborate with the Business Analyst to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Perform data migrations, third-party integrations (APIs), and upgrades between Odoo versions.
  • Debug, test, and optimize existing modules; ensure code quality and documentation.
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for live client systems.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of software development experience (mid-level), with Odoo development experience preferred.
  • Strong Python skills (required), including experience with Python web frameworks such as Flask or Django.
  • Solid JavaScript skills (required); experience with Odoo's frontend framework (OWL) is a plus.
  • Good understanding of relational databases: PostgreSQL and SQL (queries, schema design, performance basics).
  • Solid ORM knowledge (Odoo ORM, Django ORM, or SQLAlchemy) — able to work with data models rather than raw SQL only.
  • Good understanding of how ERP systems work and how businesses operate — able to connect code to real business processes (sales, inventory, manufacturing, accounting).
  • Familiarity with XML, Git, and standard development workflows.

Optional / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Odoo.sh or on-premise deployments (Linux, Docker, Nginx).
  • HTML/CSS and website/eCommerce customization experience.
  • REST API integration experience (payment gateways, shipping, POS hardware, marketplaces).
  • Odoo technical certification.
  • Experience in retail or manufacturing projects.
